Wayne wants everyone to know that his clothing line, Trukfit, is not in any way biting or "swagger jacking" the style of any other clothing line that exists already. He does take a big influence from the skater image, however Wayne's unique creative ability stretches far beyond that of the music industry.
He has been able to invent a clothing line that incorporates styles that blend pop, hip hop, skate, rock, etc, into one. Anyone can wear Trukfit and not have to worry about their style looking funny or anything like that. It's meant for people to express their own unique sense of style.
Wayne recently spoke to VIBE about his clothing line, stating:
"I'm really fond of Marc Jacobs as a designer. Everybody knows I love Polo. But as far as me being fixated on some person's style, that just ain't... nahhh. That just ain't me."
His manager Cortez Bryant also shared his insights on Wayne's Trukfit clothing line:
"This line is derived from what he represents, which is a lot. It's skate. It's street. It's pop. It's rock. It's country. It's anything! You can't put Wayne in a box, and you can't put what he wears in a box. One day he's in snowboots, the next day he's in a godd*mn fitted cap and locs, N.W.A. style. He's unusual. Just like pop culture, there's a lot going on at once here. Social and digital media brings culture to a broad space, where gender, race, class doesn't matter. TRUKFIT also refuses to be categorized. When it comes to Wayne, it's never about what anyone else is doing."
