Is the wedding still on for Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth?
Amid rampant speculation about the couple's future, reports have surfaced that reconciliation is still possible for the two.
Cyrus, 20, who was spotted last week out without her engagement ring, is reportedly still making plans for her nuptials.
"[They've] split for now," a source tells People, adding that Cyrus "seems exhausted."
Though Hemsworth, 23, has been taking an extended vacation in Australia, Cyrus isn't giving up on their romance.
"She has no plans to see Liam but seems to be clinging to hope that they will get back together," the insider continued. "Miley hasn't canceled the wedding."
Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth have been engaged for some time, but rumors of Hemsworth straying with 'Mad Men' actress January Jones have reportedly hurt their relationship.
There's reason for Cyrus to keep her spirits up. Despite the relationship strife, the two are apparently still talking, Us Weekly reports.
Liam fled to his hometown in Australia in order to take a breather from all the public scrutiny.
"He needed a beat," a friend of the couple tells the magazine.
The "Hunger Games" star is also taking a break from his promotional duties, canceling plans to attend the world premiere of his new film "Empire State" on March 19.
But perhaps it's not just relationship woes that are keeping him away from the United States: Hemsworth's co-stars, Emma Roberts and Dwayne Johnson, have also backed out of their appearances at the event.
Hemsworth has been keeping his head down during the media frenzy over his upcoming nuptials, displaying a "relaxed mood" while staying Down Under, E! News reported.
The actor also landed a $1.6 million new place as a gift from his parents, a three-bedroom ocean-view property that he has allegedly been staying in solo as he took time out to kick back in his native land.
Rumors began to buzz around the couple earlier this year, fueled by a supposed romantic encounter between Hemsworth and "Mad Men" actress January Jones.
