A lawsuit was filed against Pink in NYC involving two companies: Specialists Entertainment and Thunderstone Productions. The production houses claim that the singer signed a deal with them to produce on her debut album back in 1999.
According to the suit, the companies agreed to split producers' royalties right down the middle before producing two songs: "Can't Take Me Home" and "Hiccup". The album was a massive success -- selling five million copies -- and launched Pink's career.
SE claims in the lawsuit that the royalties they agreed to were never paid, and is suing Pink for $36,213.31 -- the remainder of the unpaid royalties.
A rep for Pink commented on the situation, saying, "Sony are responsible for paying the producers."
