Demi Lovato Slams Perez Hilton Over Lindsay Lohan Report

Despite trying to clean up her act, Lindsay Lohan has fallen on hard times for the better part of the year, but a fellow young celebrity has taken up for the troubled actress. Demi Lovato came to Lindsay's aid after blogger Perez Hilton tweeted a link to his story about LiLo on Twitter, saying "'Lindsay is Out of Control & on Cocaine,' says Michael."
Demi was quick to tweet back at the controversial blogger, saying "Hey, how about you just leave her alone, @PerezHilton. Instead of kicking someone while they're down?"
Hilton responded, tweeting back "The media (me) is not harming Lindsay. She is doing that to herself. She needs to take #accountability before she will get better."
Demi wasn't about to let go of the argument without sharing her thoughts, and quickly wrote back, "The media (not just you) don't realize when you need to stop. This isn't a headline for your readers. This is someone's life. I really wish we could go back in time when artists were known for their work. Not their personal lives."
It seems that Lovato is a little more understanding of Lindsay's troubles, as she also went through a very public series of embarrassing events, which led to a stint in rehab. Lovato was then able to clean up her act and make a huge comeback in her successful career.
Perhaps Demi could be a shoulder for Lindsay to lean on in these hard times.
