Lindsay Lohan was set for a sit-down interview with Barbara Walters for 20/20, but her new PR team thought it would be a bad idea for the oft-troubled star. The team was afraid that Barbara would grill Lindsay about her car crash from this summer, which she's set to be prosecuted for lying to police.
TMZ reveals that Lindsay agreed to do the interview, because it was supposed to focus on her new movie, "Liz & Dick," but in the past week producers made it clear that Barbara would also focus on Lindsay's personal life. Lindsay's new PR team, Rogers & Cowan, didn't feel safe letting Barbara have free reign over Lindsay, so they pulled her out of the interview.
Lindsay reportedly feels bad for bailing out of Barbara, whom she considers a close family friend, and is wanting to reschedule "when the time is right." An ABC spokesperson spoke to TMZ about the failed interview, saying "We are disappointed that Lindsay cancelled the interview and wish her well."
