Tameka Raymond, former wife of superstar singer Usher, hit back at fans who labeled her a gold digger, because she wasn't a superstar when she married Usher.
"I think this is the typical stereotype. If a woman who has lesser means, even if she is successful and hardworking and does her thing in her own right, marries someone that's what they call marrying up, someone that has more means or more money, they're automatically a gold digger."
The allegations became rampant after details of Usher and Tameka's divorce went public, where it was revealed that he cancelled her Saks card, which she needed for her job as a stylist. A judge ruled that Tameka's cards be reinstated by Usher, but he pulled a plug on her when he put the home she was living in, which he's owed since 2009, up for sale.
