"The Canyons" writer Brett Easton Ellis resorted to shaming tactics in order to stop Lindsay Lohan from showing up late for work ever again. Lindsay reportedly failed to show up for "Automatic Dialog Replacement" to dub her lines into the movie, and Ellis used his psychopathic killer character Patrick Bateman from "American Psycho" to coax Lindsay into showing up for work.
"Patrick Bateman has just headed over to Lindsay Lohan's hotel to confront her as to why she missed her fucking ADR on "The Canyons" today..."
Filming for the highly sexualized thriller began in July, with producer Braxton Pope praising Lindsay's talent on set.
"What's kind of lost in a lot of the Lindsay discussions is the fact that Lindsay is a very talented actress. She's very charismatic and she has a lot of acting skills. So her lifestyle and some of the things that she's gone through have tended to kind of overwhelm the fact, but Lindsay has kind of real talent. So for this part, we felt that she was really the right actor for a host of different reasons."
A rep for Lindsay told GossipCop that the actress "didn't miss anything" for the film, but Lohan herself has yet to comment on Ellis' claims.
