During a time where many entertainers are stepping up and coming out of the closet actress Rashida Jones feels like a bigger actor, like John Travolta, would benefit the LGBT community greatly, which she expressed in an interview with SpinningPlatters.com.
While talking about her new movie "Celeste & Jesse Forever," Rashida praised Frank Ocean for coming out on his new album "Channel Orange," but shifted her sights to Travolta. Will McCormack, who the 36-year-old dated and still writes with started the conversation by saying, "There needs to be, like, a professional athlete that comes out."
Rashida kept things going by adding, "And a movie star! It’s time…Like John Travolta? Come out! Come on. How many masseurs have to come forward? Let’s do this."
Travolta, 58, has been embroiled in an ongoing scandal involving several masseuses claiming the superstar acted inappropriately while enjoying their services.
After enduring backlash over her comments Rashida apologized about her comment, saying "Made a thoughtless comment about John Travolta. I sincerely apologize. Nobody's personal life is my business."
