Child actor Macaulay Culkin is angered after his name was slung through headlines for all the wrong reasons, as The National Enquirer reported that Macaulay was spending $6,000 a month on the prescription drugs, which they alleged put him near death.
A rep for Macaulay contacted TMZ to dispute the claims, saying the reports is "not only categorically without merit, but it is also impossibly and ridiculously fictitious."
The publication reported that Macaulay was living a sad life, associating himself with junkies and lowlifes, and went as far to say that he'd turned his Manhattan apartment into a drug den. However, Macaulay's rep says "We beseech the responsible media to consider the source and its reputation and to please not perpetuate this destructive and insulting story by pursuing it any further."
