Jane Pitt, mother of actor and gay rights activist Brad Pitt, penned an openly anti-gay, anti-Obama letter to Missouri's Springfield News-Leader.
Inside, Jane expresses her support for Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney and urges fellow citizens to vote against Obama, who in her opinion "is a liberal who supports the killing of unborn babies and same-sex marriage."
The letter was in response to another reader who argued, "Traditional Christians believe in gender equality. They believe Mormon theology denigrates women," and urged citizens to vote for Romney, despite his religious beliefs.
Jane Pitt's views are polar opposite to those of her son, who spoke about same sex marriage with People magazine in 2011.
"No state should decide who can marry and who cannot. Thanks to the tireless work of so many, someday soon this discrimination will end and every American will be able to enjoy their equal right to marriage."
This could lead to some interesting conversations in the Pitt household.
