After five years of marriage Katie Holmes and Tom Cruise are calling it quits.
Johnathan Wolfe, Katie's lawyer, revealed to People that "This is a personal and private matter for Katie and her family. Katie's primary concern remains, as it always has been, her daughter's best interest."
Tom's rep responded with a statement, revealing “Kate has filed for divorce and Tom is deeply saddened and is concentrating on his three children. Please allow them their privacy.”
Tom, 49, and Katie, 33, tied the knot in an elaborate ceremony at an Italian castle in 2006. They have a daughter, Suri, 6.
This was Katie's first marriage, but was the third for Tom, who was previously married to Nicole Kidman, whom he shares two children with, and Mimi Rogers.
