Newark, New Jersey residents are outraged after they found out that $187,000 of their hard earned tax payers money was used to police Whitney Houston's lavish funeral in February.
Nearly 200 officers were on hand to keep the crowd under control and keep VIP guests like Alicia Keys and Kevin Costner safe. CBS revealed that the city will foot the overtime bill for the cops that stood outside the church, the funeral home and the reception after the service.
Quincy Ruffin, a Newark resident thinks that Whitney's family should foot the bill, while another resident, Minerva DelValle shared her thoughts, saying “I think it was a waste of time and then now we find out what happened and how she actually died, it makes you think twice saying: ‘Was it worth it or not?’”
