Tom Cruise to Star Opposite Beyonce in "A Star is Born"

It was announced in late 2011 that Beyonce would be starring in Clint Eastwood's upcoming remake of A Star is Born, but it was still unclear who the leading man in the film would be, until now.
Sources say that Tom Cruise is at the top of the list to star opposite Beyonce, and added that he's feeling really confident about the role after he wrapped the upcoming Rock of Ages.
“While there haven’t been any negotiations, let alone a deal, the studio has been talking to [Tom] to gauge his interest in the project, a prospect that [Tom] didn’t immediately reject, given the chance to work with [Clint] for the first time,” reported Variety.
