Really?
"Judicial Watch", a conservative watchdog group, is suing Mrs. Obama for an August 2010 vacation allegedly taken by Mrs. Obama and her daughters, Malia and Sasha. They are currently demanding to have access to all the records that are related to the costs of the trip to Spain that Michelle took.
Judicial Watch went straight to the United States District Court to obtain access on files pertaining to passenger manifests and cost estimates of the trip. Tom Fitton, the Judicial Watch president, made a statement on the matter.
"Evidently, American taxpayers were stuck with a sizable bill so Mrs. Obama could tour around Spain with her family and friends. This administration, as a supposed steward of taxpayer dollars, has an obligation to disclose the full costs of the Obama family’s luxury trip.
Multiple statements have been released by the White House numerous times, backing up the fact that the vacations taken by the Obamas are actually paid for out of the Obama's own personal funds, meanwhile security and various other costs are in most cases paid for by taxpayers.
This issue hasn't been pursued to this extent with past presidential families in the White House.
Laura Bush used to take vacation trips often. Were there ever any demands to see her vacation files involving taxpayer cost? And if so, were there any political groups actually trying to sue her?
The Obamas really can't catch a break.
