The iPad is a growing and promising piece of technology that has already reeled in billions of dollars worldwide. However, recent reports have come in that Chinese company Proview Technology is attempting to sue Apple in the U.S. due to trademark discrepancies. They are currently trying to prevent Apple from being able to import or export the iPad tablet in China.
“Right now we are selecting from three American law firms to sue Apple in the United States for $2 billion in compensation,” stated the chairman of the Hejun Vanguard Group. The Vanguard Group is a company working with creditors to sort out the matter with Proview.
Proview's motives have been suspected to be dishonorable however, as some believe the company may be trying to extort Apple to pay off their own debts. Apple claims that its company has actually licensed the iPad trademark prior to Proview becoming involved, and that the Chinese organization is dishonoring a previous agreement.
Whatever the case may be, let us hope this matter gets resolved respectfully.
