Jeremy Lin went from sleeping on a teammate's couch to growing his brand to $14 million in less than a month, which is virtually unheard of in the NBA.
Lin played his first starring role with the Knicks on February 4th, where he blew away everyone watching, as he racked up an astonishing 25 points against the New Jersey Nets. Then, Lin-sanity struck when the point guard outscored Lakers superstar Kobe Bryant, and lead the Knicks to a 95-82 victory over the Lakers.
Since Lin made his presence known in the NBA Madison Square Garden stock prices have risen 6%, adding $139 million to the company’s market value. He has also pushed up television ratings 66% over last season, making his brand worth around $14 million.
