Lady Gaga Sings Praises of Designer Knock-Offs

Lady Gaga may spend tens of thousands of dollars on custom designer costumes, but the superstar is a fan of inexpensive knock-offs as well.
The 25-year-old singer recently revealed that she bought counterfeit designer clothing while in Japan last month.
“In Tokyo, they have all these stores that have fake Chanel and Versace,” she said. “And I’m an Italian from New York, so I still buy it. This jacket is a fake.”
While talking to a group of fans in the US last week, Gaga advised them to shop at thrift stores and create their own custom look rather than drop a fortune on expensive garb.
Ironically, she vowed last June to wear nothing but Versace for two months as she was having a "love affair" with Donatella's designs.
